BS: Any catters going to Keith Festival?

Any other Mudcatters going to be at Keith Folk Festival next weekend? How many even know where Keith is:-)

For those who don't know, Keith is a small town about 40 miles North West of Aberdeen and hosts a brilliant little festival every year.

Absolutely! This will be my seventh year and it is usually the highlight of my summer. Can't wait.

The website is here. I made it and yes, there is a link to the Cat on it.

Looks like I'll be there one day at least. Look forward to meeting some Scottish mudcatters.
Cheers, Bron.

Hi Bron,

Good to hear you're going to be up there. Look out for the concertina player! (think I was the only one there last year).

Jock

I think I remember you playing in the Plough last year - I did not recognise you from your Mudcat photo. I shall look out for you again!

Hi Tracy,

If the Plough is the pub I think it is (two doors to the main street and another two to the side street) then yes I was in there a fair bit and will be back there this evening.

I have just got back, and I have to report that the festival was very good. I have heard a lot of songs that are totally new to me, and the harmonies are wonderful. People were singing everywhere, and the atmosphere was great!
Cheers, Bron.

I have just crawled off the train myself. I am so glad you enjoyed it Bron. But I am sorry I missed your singing - a few people told me later that you have a great voice. I did hear Scott (Jock Morris) singing in the Chorus Quaich and he was also very impressive and his song was excellent.

All in all it was a very successful weekend. Maybe we will see more Mudcatters there in the future.

Bron, it was a real pleasure to hear you sing on Saturday; sorry I wasn't at my best (oh the demon drink:-)).

Tracy, you're too kind with your comments (although I had regained my voice by the Sunday):-)

I believe there was another Mudcat lurker there: Dave with the Davy Crocket hat, if you're reading this say hello!

An excellent weekend; glad I had today off to recover...and also to fix the plumbing problem that I found when I got home VERY late last night; water dripping through my bathrooom ceiling:-(
