I just want to let you know that over the next few weeks I will be working on adding as many Folk Festival links as possible to the LINKS section of the Mudcat, to make it easier to find all the great festivals each year. Your favorite may have been added today! Please bear with me as I do a bit each day and correct my own HTML as I go-- the section allows us to edit our own links and today I learned quite a bit, but not as much as I thought-- I still have some boo-boos to fix before adding more links in there. I'm doing it from a search of the last two years' festival threads, so if I don't get to your favorite right away, don't worry. If it's been in a thread, it will get in there. I developed a style for the layout of these links that points up WHEN they happen as well as WHERE, at a glance. I would appreciate it if you would follow that format if you add your own links. I am also adding a link in each listing to the most recent thread where the festival was discussed, so that in the future folks can see who is nearby and likely to go, or get a feel for what the festival might be like. If you see one that has wrong information, please PM me and I will fix it. And as you start new threads on festivals, would you please try to search first and see if a thread on your desired festival already exists and post in that one? And if you find it has not been covered in a thread, and you start a new one, then go ahead and add the link for it in the LINKS, yourself-- I don't want the job forever! I just wanna catch up on what we already know so that NEXT year I can plan to get to some, by seeing them all laid out together! ~S~ |
