PEACEFUL DREAMS
H.Handy

Ch. Peaceful dreams, faded memories
Many loved ones past and gone
Stories told to young by elders
Fables wrote and turned to song

1. Once I stood among the timber
Risin' high up to the sky
Now it's turned to stone and cinders
No one knows the reason why

Ch.

2. Lakes and steams once were many
Deer and fowl were free to roam
But it's gone and there's no endin'
To the wrath man has brought on

Ch.

3. Life was sweet and life was simple
Never had to rush around
Noisy cars and crowded cities
Have taken all my sacred ground

Ch.

Boy I love this band! What are they, anyway? I kind of think of them as Classical/Folk... where would you all categorize them? And aren't they great? (creep creep but the question has been answered...)

Duffey was the greatest male vocalist who ever lived.
