29 Jun 01 - 09:11 AM (#494701) Subject: Withernsea Sea Festival Day From: Les from Hull Last call for Withernsea! All aboard! There's not a lot more detail available but the infamous Landlocked (Doncaster's Shanty Crew) are there, along with a Bristol Shanty Crew. There's singing in pubs (but we don't know which one(s) from about noon til 8pm). Maggie and I will be on the number 76 from Hull (leaves every hour at a quarter past). So apologies for our non-attendance at The Nellies (Beverley) session, but as Mrs Cobble rightly says you can't be in two places at once. Actually Maggie and I could do the bi-location thing but we can't both be in two places at once. Must stop rambling now and go and look for my bucket and spade. Les (our man in Withernsea with the hanky on his head and the candy floss blown back all over his face) |
