Does anyone know the Chords to the song "The leaving of liverpool"? I have a live recording of it, by Fannigans Isle. Lyrics are a wee bit different from what I saw here.... But, the same tune for the most part....

Many Thanks

Hey Monty Tom & Rick are good friends of mine & I personaly think they are the best band arround. Tom uses The chords on the open position (Key of C) while I think Rick capos up(I will put Chord & the word where the changes are)in Fannigan's Isle's arrangement

C Farewell...F own.....C Love....(a walk to Am during "going" Am far.....G away....C bound.....cali-F-ornia.. Am know.....G return....C day....G fare...F own.... C love....Am united....G be.... C Leaving.....F grieves... C me... Am darling.... G think.... C thee

BTW check out their web site Good luck

There is a difference between the Leaving of liverpool sung (as by the Spinners) as a rollicking pub/folk club sind along shanty. And sung as a more sober "forebitter".

Nearley the same words, but a whole difference of meaning.

More when I am sober enuff to drive to my sisters place and raid her collection.
