From: Malcolm Douglas Pretty well all the material available in abc format on the web; it's not all stored there, of course; John runs a web-crawling program to find them, and onsite routines to convert to midi, gif and so on. It's the first stop of choice when looking for dance tunes. |

So i'll just ask here... what follows is a list of tuens that we're trying to get out new flute player up to speed on and she's one of those music readers... so I'm trying to find sheet music for... a set of tunes called the Kerry Polkas... I believe the 3 tunes are called John Ryan's Polka, The 42Lb Cheque, and Dennis Murphys polka Thanks ahead of time, for any help you can give me! ;-) |

From: Sorcha I searched for John Ryan, Fory two(which didn't work), 42 which did, Dennis Murphy, Staten, and Foggy Dew......I never use "reel/jig/polka/ whatever at JC's. I think Foggy Dew is also on the DT Mirror site, at numachi, here. JC's is lots easier to use than The Web Wide Index which is Chris Walshaw's abc site. It returns an entire file that must be converted with an abc program; no midi's or gifs. |
