Catters at CTMS Solstice Fest?

Sigh. I'd just come back from the wrong corner of the country (NW) to spend this past weekend at home recovering from the trip and missing both Old Songs and the Summer Solstice Festival outside L.A., run by the California Traditional Music Society. I've spent enough time drooling and sighing over Old Songs reports, anybody have any reports on the Solstice Festival, which is much closer to home and thus can provide perhaps even sharper anquish...??

I've only been there once (last year, when the Coppers were there), and didn't plug into any song swaps (and didn't overhear any that excited me). Any 'Catters out there to say otherwise to a languishing trad song fan?

Refreshing...

There were great song workshops last year -- I find it hard to believe there were no 'Catters about...

Apparently not, thus proving an extreme regional bias in singing activity correlated with Mudcat membership?

Sigh. It's lonely out here.

Dave Para has contributed to the Mudcat Forum in the past, although he doesn't show up regularly, like some of us addicts. Hell, he's too busy trotting around the country doing gigs with his wife, Cathy Barton. They, however, are almost always at the Solstice gathering. Weren't they there last year?

A Voice from the East!

Yes, Cathy and Dave were there last year. I don't see them listed in this year's schedule (though that doesn't mean they weren't there).
