Non-Music: NOVA on LaSalle's ship

I only caught the second half, but was instantly fascinated. Apparently they've salvaged the most ancient European shipwreck in the New World, in about 12' of water off what is now Texas. It was one of the ships the French explorers/conquerors/settlers were intending to use to colonize "La Louisiane" back when Louisiana went from the Pacific to Canada down the Mighty Mississippi, in the eyes of the French. Because of their losses, including this ship, we mostly speak English in the US of A, instead of (sigh) French. They did interesting things like build a wall around the wreck and pump the water out to excavate it more like a regular archaeological site. Any of you Mariners out there, chantey singing folks and all, what did you think? I was trying to think of salvage songs, and all I could think of were shipwreck songs. Any out there on Salvage? (Oops, that makes this not a non-music thread, sorry, purists!)
