All the world was bright as I held her on that night And I heard her say: "Darlin', please don't go away." So I held her in my arms and told her of her many charms I kissed her while the fiddles played "The Bonaparte's Retreat." REPEAT FROM §.

28 Dec 97 - 02:41 PM (#18364) Subject: RE: Bonapartes Retreat From: dick greenhaus A search of the database (see the blue box at the top of this page) for Bonaparte's or Bonaparte* or retreat or the phrase [BONAPARTE'S RETREAT] will give it to you. AS far as I know, the basic 2 parts of the tune are trad; Pee-Wee King added the lyrics and the C part. |

18 Sep 98 - 03:10 PM (#38542) Subject: RE: Bonapart's Retreat From: Joe Offer Hi, Jeff - go to the search box in the upper-right corner and search under bonapart* (the "wild card" asterisk will let you find any words beginning with "bonapart," and there may be a variety of endings). You'll find at least a few new verses, and maybe somebody will post more here. If the verse you know isn't in our database, be sure to post it. -Joe Offer- |
