BS: Pleasant surprises

I just gotta share this. Went to pick up my mail today, and there was a package from Australia. Inside was a letter and a CD from Eric Bogle!

His comments on my BEGINNERS LUCK was a very pleasant surprise, and, his approval of my rendition of THE BAND PLAYED WALTZING MATILDA got me all swelled up! Then he tells me that he has adapted some of my stories to fit Australia. I must say, I'm honored.

Congrats, Kendall!! Way to go. A couple of aspirin oughta take care of the swelling, depending on where it appeared.

This speaks not only of your humor and wit but also the appallingly massive lack of good sense and unbelievably poor taste of Bogle. Nonetheless, I send along my best wishes and congratulations.

Well dang, kendall -- this couldn't happen to a nicer Yankee!! ;-) I'm so happy for you -- pull down the blinds, take the phone off the hook, and dance around the house in glee (like the mad wee Northerner you are)!! We promise not to tell a soul!

Well done, my friend, Áine

This kind of feedback is priceless. Especially when you get to wondering if what you are doing is worth a damn. We've all been there, yes?

Kendall, when you mix good music with good humor and throw in one-of-a-kind character, some folks are gonna appreciate it.

That has been my experience Bill D. But, it only seems to appeal to the highly intelligent, such as MOST Mudcatters! LOL.

Amergin, what keeps you from writing and telling him? All performers welcome that.

Way to go, Kendall! I wonder how Down East stories sound with Australian slang in a Glasgow accent! They work really well with a Belfast accent, I can tell you that. Ooops!

All the best.

AHA!! I knew it! lookie, humor is universal, and, these stories are not owned by anyone, so, go ahead and use them anyway you please. I have enough to last me the rest of my life.(If I dont live more than two weeks)

That's great news Kendall,congradulations!
And well deserved,I might add!

I really appreciate every one of you who like what I do, and, Eric Bogel is no more important to me than any of you. His feedback is very much appreciated, but, so is yours.
