Dear Claire,

There have been a lot of discussions here over the past couple of years on Seagull guitars. Here is a link to a recent thread on the subject which itself may provide links to earlier threads.

The general consensus seems to be that they offer excellent value for money. I've tried a few myself and have always been impressed with the sound and construction in relation to the price.

Best regards

mooman

a few yrears back
to buy whatever kind of gutar i wanted
i was quite impressed with the seagull 12- string
i played at one of our local guitar shows
i ended up buying a LEO KOTKE 12-string
but like i said,i had the money at thet time
i might buy a seagll 12-string someday
they are very fine guitars
even if price doesn't make a difference

They always get decent reviews here. Use mooman's link and also, enter seagull in the filter box with the age refresh set to two years and you'll find quite a few past threads asking the same thing. Check those out and you'll have a good general idea.

I love my lil'cedar top. I wasn't even in the market for a guitar and bought it anyway, that's how much it knocked me outta my boots. Take your time and play a bit with the whole line and see which one suits you. On a friend's recommendation, I recently tried the LaPatrie, and that heads the list of guitars I don't need but don't think I can resist buying.

Best of luck with your search,
~Jen

I have 4... a 15+year old s6, an s6+CW, and 2 A series 'folk' models...

"The Twins" (as the wife calls 'em) got soaked last night at an outdoor gig... and held up really well...

Jen, Clinton,

I knew there was something special about each of you. So it's taste in guitars?

Clairsidebottom

I bought an Artist's series Flame Maple Seagull last week. The sound is great, it is very playable and the electronic reproduce the sound flawlessly. Its purty too! I would highly recommend!

Yes it does look good.

Wow. Looked at my catalog too...she's a beaut Rob-o.

Clairesidebottom:
Ask around, and PLAY them! In retrospect, I cannot thank Rick/Peter/Spaw enough for making me the SeaGal I am, but it also comes down to finding the right one for you. You'll know it when you feel it. (out of the gutter, boyos) Pure Love.
