I just sawewanewan the movie "Moulin Rouge" (EWAN!!!)and my old adolescent crush on, you guessed it, Ewan McGregor (ewanewanewanewan!!!!!) has taken possession of me. Does anyone know a competent exorcist? (No escape...hehehewanewanewan!!!) Please help! I'm ten years too old to be having with this sort of thing. Arrrrgh! Quick! Somebody put "Eye of the Beholder," in the VCR and remind me that he's done some really bad movies! I'm desperate herewanewanewanewanewan! (rolls around the floor clutching the Moulin Rouge soundtrack and speaking in tongues) Ah, much better. Incidentally, anyone else have the soundtrack to this movie! (See? I brought it round to music eventually). There are some very interesting covers, including a lovely "Complainte de la Butte," sung by Rufus Wainwright, who I'd never heard of before and apparently is quite all the rage. (He sang L. Cohen's "Hallelujah" in SHREK, too). Anyone have any insights on Wainwright (or McGregor ;)). I'd actually really love it if anyone has an English translation of "Complainte de la Butte," which I was able to track down in French. Jeez.
