11 Jul 01 - 08:49 PM (#504600) Subject: RE: Help: Fish or Foul???? From: catspaw49 Okay....What's the deal here? Not a mention of said net to be found let alone the fish. Something is distinctly fishy! Spaw |

12 Jul 01 - 08:49 AM (#504877) Subject: RE: Help: Fish or Foul???? From: SINSULL I smell a rat! And it may be you Spaw! What do you mean you were going to slip one by me? Were you going to put in an 11th hour bid and filet my fish? |

12 Jul 01 - 08:58 AM (#504885) Subject: RE: Help: Fish or Foul???? From: MMario it just slipped off the list. 11 days to go on it...you still have time to bid. |

12 Jul 01 - 09:00 AM (#504889) Subject: RE: Help: Fish or Foul???? From: Jon Freeman Sinsull, try the help forum if something within Mudcat doesn't appear to be working correctly. Your fish should be back now. Jon |

12 Jul 01 - 09:07 AM (#504894) Subject: RE: Help: Fish or Foul???? From: Jon Freeman Snap MMario! BTW, Me thinks the way the auction lists is wrong - all live items should be listed regardless of date of last post - will send a PM to Jeff - see what he thinks. Jon |

12 Jul 01 - 09:16 AM (#504897) Subject: RE: Help: Fish or Foul???? From: SINSULL Still have time? Has someone outbid me? And then slipped it off the site to keep me out? Nasty business! Jon - I am joking. SINS - not nearly as paranoid as all that. |

12 Jul 01 - 09:19 AM (#504899) Subject: RE: Help: Fish or Foul???? From: MMario Sins - what happened is that items "fall off" the list if they haven't had a posting for 14 days. On one of the auction pages you can set the time to longer then that and see the items. it is back displaying now, as both jon and I made comments to it. Eleven days are left to bid on the trout and fishnet. don't panic. it is still here, and should now be visible. |

12 Jul 01 - 09:29 AM (#504910) Subject: RE: Help: Fish or Foul???? From: Jon Freeman Didn't think you were paraniod Sins! I was just trying to suggest the Help forum is the better place report problems as you tend to get quicker answers that tend to be more to the point. Sometimes threads here go all round the issue before any reasonable suggestion is made. That is not to say that there aren't people like MMario who may not check the help forum but are very good at answering the Help type questions. Jon |

12 Jul 01 - 11:27 AM (#505002) Subject: RE: Help: Fish or Foul???? From: catspaw49 Sorry Jon........This was just a kind of joke though. I really didn't consider it a software related problem myself and not really worthy of a help request. You are of course quite correct, but in this case it didn't really matter what happened to the friggin' trout!(:<)) Spaw |

12 Jul 01 - 11:35 AM (#505017) Subject: RE: Help: Fish or Foul???? From: SINSULL That trout frigs???? Damn. Maybe I don't want it near my bass after all. Jon - thank you for your help. MMario, too. I was having a little fun with Spaw. Will behave the rest of the day. |

12 Jul 01 - 11:43 AM (#505022) Subject: RE: Help: Fish or Foul???? From: Jon Freeman Spaw, I didn't intend it as a go at you. A joke along the way is no big deal anyway. What I find most frustrating when trying to answer help queries is mis-information being given out by people trying to be helpful but not knowing how the Mudcat system works. We are not perfect by any means in the help forum but we do tend to come up with reasonable suggestions most of the time. Jon |
