From: GUEST,Roger the skiffler A week or so before I arrived in Kalymnos this year a British (E.Midlands-based?) blues man called Peter Price spent a day in Emborios. Having heard George (Yorgos) play he came back with his guitar (or borrowed one of George's) and they jammed together. He left George a copy of his CD "Big Road Blues" CM1,which I guess is self-produced. George was impressed and the couple of web references I've traced also give him a good press. Do any UK 'Catters know this guy's work. Has anyone turned up a home page or source of the CD? I haven't so far (but haven't had much time this week) and of course it isn't on Amazon etc. I should be able to get it through Ray's Jazz & Blues shop when I'm next in London but any quicker fix would be welcome. Must get back to the training session... RtS (suffering from brain overload!) |

Various promising leads led to dead websites or non-responding e-mail addresses. Venues that booked him didn't pass messages on or supply contact details. I had another go recently and found he has a new website: www.peter-price.com we made contact, he replied and I'm finally getting the CD. He clearly plays all over the country, well worth catching him. RtS |
