I think this new member's response to another thread is valuable enough to start another thread. I didn't get the link, but you will figure it out. I am copying it from another thread, and I think it should be required reading:

I haven't been on Mudcat that long but I plan on sticking around. It's very easy to ignore threads that get on my nerves and just concentrate on the interesting ones! I don't even have time to read all the threads, so if I'm not interested in something or it's some private spat that's going on I just exit that thread! That's the great thing about on-line relationships - if I don't like it I just don't read or respond to it. It's not like some disagreeable person is pounding on my door or calling me on the phone at inconvenient times. I'm mostly interested in the music threads but I enjoy some of the humerous threads and the general BS threads as well. Since I can pick and choose, what I don't like doesn't bother me, (or hasn't so far). Thanks, Mary. BlueJay

I agree, Mary. I've been hanging around here for over 3 years and it has its major ups and downs, but it's worth a daily checkin, and I have dear friends in 3D now whom I never would have known if it weren't for this place!

I don't think I could leave. It's far too adictive.... even the BS threads just HAVE to be read sometimes.... Besides, who else would I be able to slag off bodhrans and melodeons with, in the same session as praising the virtues of the Virago motorbike.....

And despite the attempts to upset me and my fat arse, I'm just gonna keep sticking to it!!!

I,ve been checking this site for quite a while now and intend to for as long as it and I are here. I check out anything I choose to and ask anything I please. This is in place of having people socially to do this with,but it does fine by me.There are threads which don't concern me at all but I often click on something out of curiosity and find it fascinating. F..k annoying and malevolent guests and long live friendly, humorous and interesting people. Love from the fB
