10 Jan 98 - 01:45 PM (#19006) Subject: Ever Heard of From: etorsten@concentric.net Has anyone here ever heard this song. I assume it is an old irish dance tune, but can't find it in any of my books (I have thousands of tunes there) so I thought maybe it was a song. My cousin asked if I could get the sheet music for it, but he has never heard it either so we both are just kind of scrambling around on this puzzle. If you have even just heard, please email me so I can know a little about what it is. Also if anyone can recommend a CD, or somewhere where it might be located, I could pass that info along to the interested party. Thank you for any help you might be able to provide! Eric Torstenson |

12 Jan 98 - 04:23 PM (#19112) Subject: RE: Ever Heard of From: Jerry Friedman On a barely related subject, Vladimir Nabokov, the lepidopterist and great writer, was fond of this butterfly and also fond of claiming that its true name was "Red Admirable". Does anyone know any evidence for that claim? |
