BS: I only wanted a map

While trying to order an OS map the companies site search threw up this TRADITIONAL GAELIC BAGPIPING FROM 1745 TO 1945

So I thought I would ask, is it any good?, and why is it among all the other map based products on this site?

That's an impressive example of the Second Sight there!!

It's an excellent book, published in 1998.  There's a copy at Sheffield Central Library if Roger wants to check it out.  I quoted a short extract from it in this thread:  Bagpipes in America.  Amongst many other things, Gibson demolishes the myth that the pipes were proscribed in the aftermath of the Jacobite rebellions.

Thanks, Malcolm, that was very interesting. Sorry I missed it, earlier.

To answer Roger's question, does the book have maps in it, which trace piping? perhaps that is why it is on that site?

Thanks,

kat
