The only phrase I know is a part of the refrain: "..the american army, not forgetting the navy and the air force, too..". If anyone could give me a hint I would be very grateful....thx |

From that, I gather that the song is "American Boy Soldier," recorded by the Edgar Broughton Blues Band in 1969. From there, I hit a dead end. Couldn't find lyrics. -Joe Offer- |

From: Jim Dixon Joe: The Edgar Broughton Band was from the UK, which might explain why you don't recall it. (Neither do I.) "American Boy Soldier" appeared on their 1969 album, "Wasa Wasa." I can't find any evidence that it was ever reissued. (And I can't find the lyrics either.) |
