29 Jul 01 - 06:56 PM (#517350) Subject: Crowd around the Corner From: khandu I mis-posted this a couple of weeks ago as "Rally Round the Corner". The song is "Crowd Around the Corner" done by ? in 1989. I heard it once on CMT. I have no idea who did it. I heard it the night my Dad died and it eerily connected with the last things Dad had said to me. That is why I am searching for it. Anyone know the song, where I can find lyrics, and who did it? khandu |

CROWD AROUND THE CORNER
Those stormy years leave deep and endless trails across his face.
Time's run its course and freed the horse that pulled him through his prime,
With his golden chain the old man clings to the watch inside his vest
So crowd around the corner, boys, and take your good old time, [From the album "Don't Make It Easy For Me" by Earl Thomas Conley. (C) 1983 RCA Music (ASCAP).] |
