I'm in Edinburgh, and would be interested in hearing what everybody's going to see at the festival this year. So far I'm going to see Richard Thompson (Queens Hall), the military tattoo (castle esplanade) and Old Blind Dogs (Spiegel tent). Does anybody know of any other good folk venues on during August?? |

Once you have seen it you dont have to go back! (Actually the close of the show, the lone piper playing amazing grace is very cool!)But it was a strange mix of things when I saw it 8 years ago. Check out The Scotsman, (The daily paper) as I recall they have a good listing of events, & you might want to try this music page on this website for the Fringe. http://www.edfringe.com/cgi-bin/user/edfringe/searchshows.fcgi |

From: Linda Kelly Interestingly enough this year, it appears there is to be a boycott by some comedy shows of the Perrier Comedy Awards. This is an annual award presented to the best comedy show in the Fringe. Perrier's mother company is Nestle -and the boycott is because of several controversies not the least the sale of baby milk to the third world. |
