From: GUEST It seems that a lot of you are off to Towersey for bank holiday weekend, anybody left out there going to The Cornwall Folk Festival at Wadebridge? Me and my KB will be there with our folk babies and I know Deni and her entourage will be there too, with their latest family addition, Angus the yorkshire Terror! Hope to see some of you there! From: The Shambles Mrs Shambles and I spent a very nice few days there last year, even hiring bikes to cycle to Padstow, and will be going again this year. It is just about the right size town and held in a very fine area. |

20 Aug 01 - 10:23 AM (#531741) Subject: RE: BS: So who's going to Wadebridge? From: Brigie I nearly fell off my chair reading that the Wadebridge festival still exists!! Would you believe the last time I was there ( the only time in fact ) was in August 1981! Came across it quite by accident while camping around England on holidays with two work friends. About campsites, we were placed on the school playing field as foar as I can remember. But it was there in Wadebridge that I experienced the voice and antics of Vin Garbuth.Amazing performer. Also the first time I heard Ralph McTell live.......wow! Great memories have been creeping back........thanks! Now I am too far away in Switzerland, and doubt if my family would be as excited as I would be at the idea! Enjoy it Brigie |
