Did find these sites, which are pretty interesting for us Hoyt Axton fans: This one has a downloadable wav file. click here This has an incredible amount of info on various albums, etc. Click here This is the "official" Axton site. Click I have "Mountain Right" on the Spin of the Wheel album. I'll transcribe the lyrics for you, but I can't help with chords, I'm afraid. Cowpie doesn't have this song either, darn it. Back in a bit with the lyrics. Lin |

I really appreciate your kind offer to transcribe it for me, but rather than you going to all that trouble, I'll just get off my lazy butt and go buy Spin of the Wheel. I should have that CD anyhow. |

Kansas wimmen may be, but us Texas transplants still have a streak or two of "nice"--buried pretty deep sometimes, but still there! I've been listening to Hoyt Axton a long time. Glad to help out anybody who likes his music. Wish I had the chords for you as well, but I do a lousy job of playing by ear. Would highly recommend the Spin of the Wheel album, anyway. It's got a couple of my favorites on it: Cowboys on Horses With Wings and The Weight. Good luck with Mountain Right. Lin

I have the verse structure down I think and only have a couple of bugs to work out of the chorus. I'm not sure how this message forum works, but I'd be happy to share my best effort on "Cowboys On Horses With Wings" here. |
