If you have a MIDI to sheet music program you can get the dots. They might be at the DT Mirror site, numachi, but I can't get there just now. |

27 Aug 01 - 01:56 PM (#536163) Subject: RE: Tune Req: The Bonnie House of Airlie From: bfolkemer Hi folks, (I am back to this site after being away for months and having computer problems. So I'm still a newbie.) Anyway, Louis Killen sings this song to another tune, close to one which I associate also with the text " A Wee Bird Cam' to Our Ha' Door" (Wae's Be to Prince Charlie). That song is in an out of print book called 105 FOLKSONGS OF SCOTLAND. However, the tune is not exactly the same. The first line and the second line are pretty much identical, but after that it changes. I don't have the slightest idea how to post a tune in the chat or to the Dg. Trad. data base. Hope this is of some help. Beth |
