BS: Snogcatcher

Anyone seen this film about an internet-fixated folkie who goes round the world visiting other folkies he's met on the web and getting them to kiss him? Is it based on the travels of Bill Sables or Brett (Naemanson). Surely 'Spaw knows?

What's with all the threads on this movie ? Personally, I'm waiting for the new Playboy TV movie, "Thongsnatcher".

gnu,
Just avoid the really low-budget nasty one called "Thongscratcher" .
Apparently, William Shatner turned down the lead role, so they used some unknown called "Cat Spawn" or "Pat Scaw" or sumptin.
Seems there's all kinds of nastiness in it, with possums being sexually harrassed and other grossness.

I asked Spaw if he knew anything about Fartcatcher but so far no reply. Anyway I heard it was about a huge international group of dedicated collectors and cataloguers, among them a few grumpy old ethnomuisicologists. There was more, but CRS...

Maybe he can recall the rest.

Gnu,

I have far to much dignity to even suggest "Snatchthonger".

I've barely seen ANY new movies....I prefer the old ones, like the one in which Bob Hope sings his theme song about the teeny bikini, "Thongs for the Mammaries".

Bill D,

There's no way new movies could live up to that standard. That's hilarious.

Then there's H P Lovecraft's long-forgotten book, Yog-Sothothsnatcher, which is about the abduction by the Great Old Ones of ... ah, who cares? I know Oliver Reed was inthe movie ...

Sasquatchmungler.

(In a thread today with a spiritual, member Masato Sakurai brought us a variant with "ho-munglin' " in it. Meaning, ho-mongering. I guess.)

Seriously, guys. There's a great new movie (so I hear) about Child's trips through the Catskills in search of nursery rhymes, or some such thing. Anybody see it? Review, please? When will the soundtrack be available?

LLMGO!!! (literally laffing my guts out) O my tummy hurts from laffing; thanks, I needed that. Sinsull, I think it was Cecil Sharp in the Catskills; see the other Thongsnatcher threads for sure.
