Wanda Degen has a brand new CD out called "Of Woods and Water: Songs of the Great Lakes Region". She sings it and mentions in the liner notes (or whatever they call those things now) that she first heard Art Thieme sing it at Walnut Valley. I can't wait to hear this CD. The songs are mostly from the Great Lakes and she has pictures of the Porcupine Mountains on the cover with an insert picture of the Freighter Samuel Mather on the inside cover!!! My week is going to be perfect!!! Joy Joy Joy!!!! click for lyrics in related thread |

As we are standing there, in walks Wanda. She sees I have the CD and some good natured banter starts. She is still teaching at Elderly. Great CD here, folks. I would recommend it. She mentions our own Art Thieme several times in the credits, and does several songs that she learned from his singing. I would recommend a listen to this CD. All the best, Mick |
