From: DougR I don't believe if one does not post to a thread that calls for an opinion about a controversial subject, that one can assume he or she favors one side or the other. Many of these threads are started only to create devisevness in the Mudcat community, and the poster doesn't care one way or the other how individual members come down on the subject. I believe the best way to respond to those threads is not to respond and hope they go away. They rarely do, though, because people can't resist taking the bait. Which (sigh) probably isn't the point of active ignoration (sic) - but, heck, I'm fed up being lady-like and reasonable.

Saves a lot of hassle, because there are some cunning buggers around playing games with multiple posts designed to stir things up for the sake of it. |
