Terry Belnor, his wife and three or four others that rotate on any given night, call themselves Hogeye Navvy. About 9:30 PM every Saturday night they play at the Aristocrats tavern/restaurant on College avenue in Indy. Good music, good food, and a wide variety of barley pop. |

04 Mar 09 - 07:23 AM (#2580951) Subject: RE: HogEyed Navy/ Hogeye Navvy (group) From: GUEST hogeye navy group did farewell appearance at indiana war memorial many years ago............ were regulars at now defunct mugwamp of inianapolis prior to farewell concert......... i was the 'official' video recorder of their last appearance........and a few other appearances fellow named chris ( the wind instrument guy left group).......played everything from penny whistle to bagpipes......went on to work at fort ticonderoga........lost track of......do not know where is now........ some others did go on to perform elsewhere in inianapolis.. did not think or know that they continued use of hogeye name... percussionist was named steve and was teacher in my school district.............was good..... did not care much for terry.......as he still owes me some audio tapes......... in addition to above was the lady violinist and one other guitar player............ honestly do not recall if was a lead singer or not..............suppose could have been terry or the guitarist.......... not sure about the wife part..........as was only the violinist at time...........not likely to have been maried to terry......they also drove seperately. did sell VCR tapes of final concert and some other performances at the time.......... provided complimentary copies to group.......... do miss them............. i can be reached at: tugboat8@msn.com will not likely return here to read resposes if any...... |

Still playing great shanties and folk tunes. You can hear them on Saturday nites at the Aristocrat in the Broadripple area of Indianapolis as well as a few other festivals in the area. Mac Bellner on the guitar, Terry on several instruments, Gary singing and playing the Bodhran along with others in the group. Look them up on Facebook. |
