Lyr Req: Chatter with the Angels

I believe I have a version of "Chatter with the Angels" which is adapted for teaching children. I am wondering if anyone can find me a traditional version for comparison. I've had no luck on my search so far.

Chatter with the angels soon in the morning
Chatter with the angels in that land
Chatter with the angels soon in the morning
Chatter with the angels, join that band

I hope to join that band and chatter with the angels all day long!

Yup-- already here at Mudcat.

RIGHT HERE.

Glad to hear you are using it that way! Hmm, next time we do this in church I will use some of your words...

Thanks, Susan. I wonder if there's still a more traditional version out there, since your sourcebook is Wee Sing. Maybe not, I'm just curious....sometimes the kids' books just borrow off each other so much that we miss passing along the truer, older version of the song.

Refreshing for people who don't Mudcat on weekends.

There is a BIG project going on now all about spirituals, so if a more traditional version of it turns up I will probably catch it. If you dig it up first, go for it! *G*

(Care to volunteer on our project?)

Zero time. Make that minus zero.

Huge thanks for your work, though, Susan.
