Hello, White Dove. I'm not there, but according to my husband, his grandfather emigrated to the US from Fenton-Near-Stoke-on-Trent, so your thread title caught my eye!

I'm not there, either, White Dove, but I'm only about 40m away, in Derbyshire. (Hey: are you the White Dove loved by Running Bear?)

Hi Guys..thnx for the replies ;-)

Bald Eagle...I am visiting this area for a while and I am looking for a local sing/muso session or a folk club. Where would you recommend. As close as possible to the A500 would be good. I am in Hanley.

Hope you can help cos I am music starved at the mo !!

Roz

Hi White Dove - I'm not in SOT but my eldest lad is - and he's a bit of a folkie. Email me at dpolshaw@ntlworld.com if you want to get in touch.

Check out BBC Radio Shropshires folk site as well - it covers events in SOT. Not got the clicky to hand but if you go via bbc.co.uk and follow either folk links regional radio links you will find it.

Cheers

Dave the Gnome

Hi, Roz. Sorry you'll miss the folk train on Saturday. I phoned my son in S/O/T for info. Go to www.potteriesfolk.com for info on local clubs. Enjoy yourself, and come to Cott again when you get home
