Well that didn't work. So you'll have to cut and paste.

I don't remember any, and I was at U. of Washington when they were a world class power (in Stan Pocock shells). But I knew few of the oarsmen, so maybe missed any songs. With classwork and the rigorous training schedule there wasn't much time for songs.

WARNING: This post may offend anyone who is not a total sexist pig.

The one time I went into the Princeton Pub, I heard the crew singing,

Bob Van Diemen,*
Bob Van Diemen,
Bob Van Diemen is a horse's ass!
His mother is from China,
And she has no vagina.
Bob Van Diemen is a horse's ass!

*Substitute the teammate of your choice. There were various different middle couplets.

This one, "The Freshmen up at Yale", was popular at Princeton on various sports teams:

Oh, the freshmen up at Yale get no tail,
Oh, the freshmen up at Yale get no tail,
To relieve their aggravation they resort to masturbation,
Oh, the freshmen up at Yale get no tail.

Oh, the sophomores up at Yale get no tail, (2x) [Can't remember the sophomores' method of coping]
etc.

Oh, the juniors up at Yale get no tail, (2x)
So half the freshman class has to take it up the ass,
etc.

Oh, the seniors up at Yale, they get tail, (2x)
A glass of gin or Scotch will open any crotch,
etc.

Oh, the professors up at Yale, they get tail, (2x)
When they see a piece of ass, they keep her after class,
etc.

There were also verses about the president and the bulldog (both of whom were sexually fulfilled), and maybe others. The tune, of course, was "If You're Happy and You Know It", or whatever the right name is.

I recall the last one as:

The Freshmen Up at Yale Get No Tail

Oh, the freshmen up at Yale get no tail,
Oh, the freshmen up at Yale get no tail,
To relieve their aggravation they resort to masturbation,
Oh, the freshmen up at Yale get no tail.

Oh, the sophomores up at Yale get no tail,
Oh, the sophomores up at Yale get no tail,
To satisfy their yen, they go out with Princeton men,
Oh, the sophomores up at Yale get no tail,

Oh, the juniors up at Yale get no tail,
Oh, the juniors up at Yale get no tail,
So half the freshman class has to take it up the ass,
Oh, the juniors up at Yale get no tail,

Oh, the seniors up at Yale, they get tail,
Oh, the seniors up at Yale, they get tail,
But after 3 long years of guys, women hardly give them a rise,
Oh, the seniors up at Yale, they get tail,

Oh, the co-eds up at Yale, they get tail,
Oh, the co-eds up at Yale, they get tail,
But when you see them on motorbikes, you'll soon know that they're all dykes,
Oh, the co-eds up at Yale, they get tail,

Oh, the coaches up at Yale get no tail,
Oh, the coaches up at Yale get no tail,
Cause after all those Eli years, they're used to dating queers,
Oh, the coaches up at Yale get no tail,

Oh, the professors up at Yale, they get tail,
Oh, the professors up at Yale, they get tail,
When they see a piece of ass, they keep her after class,
Oh, the professors up at Yale, they get tail,

Oh, the president of Yale, he gets tail,
Oh, the president of Yale, he gets tail,
But his wife is so damn frigid, he can hardly keep it rigid,
Oh, the president of Yale, he gets tail.

Oh, the trustees up at Yale need no tail,
Oh, the trustees up at Yale need no tail,
For to obtain their lofty titles, they had to give upi their gen-itles.
Oh, the trustees up at Yale need no tail.

OK, now I'm wondering what's the name of the tune for "The Freshmen Up at Yale Get No Tail." I'm betting it's sung to the tune I know as "Put Your Finger in the Air," but what's a better-known name for the tune? Didn't Woody Guthrie write "Put Your Finger in the Air"?

The tune for "The Freshman Up at Yale Get No Tail" is also used for "You Cannae Shove Your Granny off a Bus" and "If You're Happy and You Know It, Clap Your Hands."

I've heard that it actually originated at Columbia, but it was sung at Yale by the '70s.

One verse variant that I remember:
"Half a pint of scotch will buy a Smithies' crotch."

and of course:

Oh, the bulldog up at Yale has no tail.
Oh, the bulldog up at Yale has no tail.
After years in those male halls
It's a wonder he has balls
Oh, the bulldog up at Yale has no tail.

The Royal Navy version of the Eton Boat Song ( I assume that you are familiar with the tune ??) :-

"Jolly fine boating weather,
       Come for a ride in my Punt ;
I don't want to go Punting,
    You can shove your Punt up your C--- ;

And we'll all pull together,
   Our bollocks between our knees,
    Yes, we'll all pull together,
And do as we fucking well please."

   Good song,that.
