06 Sep 08 - 12:17 PM (#2432651) Subject: RE: Stefan Sobell is alive and well From: Bernard Cindy, the Sobell dulcimer I have has five strings, and the 'bass' strings are an octave apart. The melody strings are a unison pair, with the 'middle' string on its own. If you follow what I mean! I'll email you later with some pictures - might even include some of the dulcimer! I didn't buy it new, an old friend of mine was selling it, mainly because it has some damage near the head which is difficult to repair. Despite that it plays perfectly, though. |
