27 Sep 01 - 11:22 AM (#559901) Subject: FSGW site down? From: MMario Okay - I know this isn't really the place to ask this, but since I know that there are people here who are involved... Just got my confirmation for the Getaway - and went out to see what was posted on the site and cannot get to it - is it down? or is the problem at my end? |

27 Sep 01 - 11:44 AM (#559913) Subject: RE: FSGW site down? From: Bill D interesting...even with that link, you have to scroll down to October and click on 'details' at the right hand side of the screen...I may ask the guy if it can be more direct |

27 Sep 01 - 07:16 PM (#560285) Subject: RE: FSGW site down? From: SINSULL Is there a list yet of Mudcatters who are attending? My reservation is in. No confirmation yet. MMario - I am driving down on Friday, early. Need a ride? |

27 Sep 01 - 08:37 PM (#560331) Subject: RE: FSGW site down? From: Bill D the 'list' exists only at the address you sent your application...it grows until the last minute. But we have several more than last year already, I'd think. (We will have a general idea from threads as time approaches)...I do know we are sort of expecting Kendall, Rick F., MMario, [YOU,Sinsull], Micca..several others who were not there last year....and LOTS who were.Dick G., Susan of DT, Sandy Paton, Barry Finn, Mick, Jeri, Deni?...I can't do it off the top of my head. plus.....all the local folk who are always there and never look at a computer! We got LOTS of DC area people to meet and sing with. Golleee...I think I'll be there myself... |

27 Sep 01 - 10:01 PM (#560386) Subject: RE: FSGW site down? From: Big Mick This is going to be a humdinger of a gathering. You folks are going to love these FSGW'ers. This is a welcoming bunch of folks, and I love being with them. More talent than you can shake a stick at. I want to urge all Catters to be sure and get to know FSGW members. I have made some of the most wonderful friends among them. I know we will be doing some Mudcat gathering stuff, but take them time to get to know the rest. You will be the better for it. I CANNA WAIT!!!! Last I knew, Spaw was coming. Is that still on??? Mick |

27 Sep 01 - 11:57 PM (#560458) Subject: RE: FSGW site down? From: Charlie Baum To get to the proper webpage, use this link http://fsgw.org/calendar.php3. Then scroll down to the Getaway under October. We're machanizing the FSGW site to be forms driven and updateable by the people involved (that's me, folks). The page at http://www.fsgw.org/getaway.htm can't be updated easily. So don't go there. One caveat--as of this writing (Sept 27th), the schedule of workshops etc. on the Getaway page is still fictitious, but we'll be updating it in coming weeks as we have details to post and gain expertise in how to maneuver the forms program to update it. As of earlier this week, we were approaching 100 registrations, and most FSGW members just received their October newsletters today, which should result in another batch of registrations. If you haven't registered yet, time's a-fleeting. If you were concerned about high air fares, there's a batch of cheapo sales that are just now being advertised, now that the airlines have successfully lobbied congress and gotten their $15 billion reward for saving so much money over the years by stinting on security, leaving it up to minimum wage people, which resulted in a consumer loss of confidence due to security slip-ups on Sept. 11th. Anyway, lots of cheap flights to BWI, which is also served by Southwest Airlines, one of the few US carriers in decent financial shape now. -Charlie Baum |

My registration is in and confirmed, payment confirmed - and I downloaded directions - so I'm golden - just frustrated that yet another site I enjoy visiting is for some mysterious reason not available...but only to me.
