A Song about Mudcat

Where have all the folkies gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the folkies gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the folkies gone?
Disallusioned every one
When will you ever learn?
When will you ever learn?

Where have the disallusioned gone?
Long time passing
Where have the disallusioned gone?
Long time ago
Where have the disallusioned gone?
Drowned by bull shit every one
When will you ever learn?
When will you ever learn?

Where has all the bull shit gone?
Long time passing
Where has all the bull shit gone?
Long time ago
Where has all the bull shit gone?
It's here to stay in every thread
You think it's good so you don't care
You think it's good so you don't care

Rewrite of last verse, since it doesn't rhyme properly:

Where has all the bullshit gone?
Long time passing
Where has all the bullshit gone?
Long time ago
Where has all the bull shit gone?
To threads about what has gone wrong
If they can't see that, they'll never learn
I doubt they'll ever learn...

..except for the fact that it's wrong...

I'n curious to see if this message gets any replies.

Five posts by 'gutless' guests. Can't imagine that 'real' mudcatters would want to respond...

Mu guess if that the thread will slowly slip down the list, never to be answered again.

It'd be an interesting experiment to find out how much replies to threads depended upon who posted them.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time or resources to conduct such a study right now.

Maybe one day

Ooooooh, I'm cattin' my life away,
Wasted yet another day
On line.
Lettin' other catters play
With my mind. -----------

Maybe I'll play more with this bit of doggerel later. [Eddie Rabbit is looking down and groaning.]

One May mornin'so early
There I spied my Nancy fair
Mudcattin'like a shirley.

I asked what thread she's at
What thread was she a drollin'
Not much was her reply
I am just a-trollin'

Good start, Ali-UK -- I amsure we can muster up a dozen good one4s if we try! Come on guys -- if the Mudcat isn't gonna inspire you, you need to pinch yourselves, make sure you're not dead!

Here -- Try this one, for starters.

Regards,

A.

Some say cyber space is a far away place
But theres one site that makes it like home
For music and fun it is still number one
It eases my inkling to roam

You ask me where's that? Of course its the 'cat" The feline that wallows in mud
Its got music and wit and lots of bull manure
Its the website I adore.....Bud

Oh!! We love the Mud Cat for all the things it is
But someone out there hates it for what it aint
But there's also lotsa people when they see the Mona Liz
Will complain about the colour of the paint!

One thing I like best is the way that any Guest
Can hide behind a tree and throw his turd.
They cannot hurl their shite on a regulated site
So where else are these howling monkeys heard?

And when you step in pooh for your political view
You know you won't have very long to wait
Whether leaning to the left or empathy bereft.
before a folk will come and set you straight

Oh!! We love the Mud Cat even when spaw describes his farts
But someone out there is a rotten apple
But there's also lotsa people when they a work of art
look for stucco at the top of Sistine chapel!
