I tried this a few months back without any luck. I am still looking for music notation for "The Mouth of the Tobique" (the Tobique is a river in Canada). I don't need it in midi, abc, or a recording. If anyone can help, Thanks!

Alice - you can find it in "The Fiddlers Fake Book" an Oak publication carried by many music stores. If you can't find it, contact me at lesben@MT.net, and I'll mail you a copy (I may even have two versions )

This thread is three years old and Les sent the music over to me, but I thought I would revive it to add this recording, done on the 17th of this month:

Mairi's Wedding/Mouth of the Tobique

From the creator of Fiddles on the Tobique, Bill Miller, canoe@nbnet.nb.ca:

"The fiddles on the Tobique concert this year will be Friday June 22, Sat 23, and sunday the 24th and there will be a week long fiddle camp to teach young fiddlers under 18 stepdancing and the fiddle and piano. Last years concert , and fiddle river run was a heck of a success there were 379 canoes on the river !!! and ove r 75 musicians !

This year there is also going to ba a hot air balloon set up so hpefully if the ris no wind we can get some video shots from the balloon of the fiddles in the river

I wil check out the sites you mentioned and keep up the GREAT work and thanks for passing news of the Tobique event all who come are VERY welcome, I will be holding a BarB Q her again this year on Sat night . and i let my farm out for any camper or tenter who needs a place to stay

Have a HappySt Pats DAy!

Bill and Rusty ( my golden retriever)"

It sounds like fun, wish I could be there. I invited Bill to the Mudcat, but don't know if he will ever show up here. I have a photo of the event that he sent, shot from one of the canoes on the river. He builds canoes, and that is how this gathering started. - Alice
