BS: The Good-Bye Kendall Blues

I'm feeling very flat and sad having just seen Kendall off at the airport.I don't know when I've had a better time or been sorrier to see a visitor leave.

It wasn't that we did anything that remarkable you understand...well, other than the unfortunate incident with the vicar's wife, the llama and a pot of goosberry jam ... which I think I've managed to keep out of the papers.

Other than a trip to the Yorkshire Dales, Hampton Court and, of course, Cecil Sharpe House ( may it's name be forever revered)we simply spent time just sitting around swapping jokes, telling stories and making music but if that isn't a good way to spend time with a new best buddy then I don't know what is.

Anyway, I'm going to miss you, my friend.Have a good flight home and hurry back! There will always be a warm welcome for you in our house.

we will expect full details of the llama/gooseberry jam incident in a future post; but you needn't name the vicar or his wife - initials will do!

Spaw, we tried to persuade him to stay. I must be losing my touch... *grin*

It was lovely to meet you, Kendall, and swop songs and chat on your all-too-brief foray into Yorkshire. We'll sing to absent friends, at Llanstock (click)... tomorrow?? :0)

When are you coming back?

Mortie, it wasn't the same llama as last time, was it???

Poor, Morty. The Captain is a treasure isn't he? Thanks for sending him back. Although, I thought he was moving on until the 18th.

They will be furious if they learn about the llama!

That's true, Sinsull, but Kendall has been successfully pulling the wool over their eyes for years...

I hope if there were enough llamas to choose from Kendall picked the prettiest one. I'm confident he would though.

Oh Lord, I just thought of something else. You folks over in Yorkshire encourage the use of birth control do you not? You don't need any Kendallamas running around over there.

Can't think of a better guy to sit around swapping songs and stories with. Oh, and he likes a beer now and then, and so does his dog Seamus. Thanks for letting him come home.

It wasn't that I wanted him to go home, it was more that I couldn't compete with Seamus.I dunno, outclassed by a golden retriever and a Llama...it hasn't been my week!

Outclassed? Hardly. Your mistake was not peeing on the sofa occasionally. That's how Seamus keeps his attention.

They managed to disguise a Yorkshire sheep as a Llama for a couple of hours but it didn't fool Kendall. Ask him how his navigational skills are when he gets back;-)

well, after a very enjoyable time, I passed him back Chez Morticia yesterday afternoon so I was not a party to any doubtful shenanigans, (and writs will be issued if anyone suggests otherwise) I was a expecting more "cranky Maine curmudgeon" and less "Nice Guy" than actually arrived!!!! and he started test driving some Greene King IPA at C.Sharp house, ( so maybe that accounts for the outbreak of Geniality???) anyway, it was a pleasure to meet and get acquainted Kendall, and to hear him sing and tell stories, (and Liz if you answered your phone or set your message taker you would have known he was about!!) and if you need a bed in London... even if I did make you walk a lot!!! but the walk across London Bridge was worth it?? just drop me a note..

There is no fecking way I can answer all those charges, so, I'll just say, I had one hell of a good time in merrie old England. Such a pleasure to meet Noreen, Steve, Terri, Dave, Micca, Gervaise, and, I even got to meet Kelly Burnham. Imagine traveling 3000 miles to meet someone who lives only 40 miles from me. I hope to hell you clowns are easier on her than you have been on me.!!

Geez, a lifetime of being decent, does anyone notice? hell no, but, one lousy Llama, and...

Kendall, I had hopes that you might remain over there and thus be spared the charges of the local constabulary. Indecent exposure is no small thing of course, but I really thought you were over the bestiality. Obviously you either forgot your meds or had a relapse.

However, since you have now enjoyed the pleasures of a llama, I was thinking that since you are reputedly the foremost person in the field (often you're the only person in the field which scares the hell out of any critter penned up in the field), you could maybe compare for us a Llahma as opposed to a goat, cow, sheep, ostrich, goose, emu, pea fowl, pig, rabbit, chicken, or the over two dozen others animals you've shagged. Take as much space as you wish. Extra bandwidth is available for your thoughts and experiences on this subject.

Welcome back, Captain. I was afraid our friends across the Pond would never let you leave. Ignore Spaw. He's been testy lately. See you next week. We'll have some single malt and a new trench coat waiting for you when you arrive. No llama but maybe a Pushme-Pullyou.

I think Kendall thought beastialty was legal over there, Spaw. Kendall would never break anybody's laws, of that I'm sure. Of course I guess he could have asked Morticia, but his urges probably got the best of him.
