Enter @Civil @War into Digitrad Lyrics Search. Quite a bit right here.

Try a Web search on either "Civil War" songs or "War Between the States" songs. There are a multitude.

Here's a couple more: midis

songs, poetry, misc.

And don't forget to check out the Library of Congress site.

A search of Morpheus and its identical twin KazaA.com turned up well over 200 songs at each, with confederate and civil war searches.

Take a look at this old thread called Southern songs of the Civil-War era which I started way back last April. It contains some links to some fantastic sites.

By the way, I volunteered to be the coordinator for several people who volunteered to work on the project of copying those songs into Mudcat threads. Then I dropped the ball. Nothing has been done. And it looks like I have plenty to do elsewhere, so, anybody who wants to work on this, have at it.

Anyone who does want to copy songs into Mudcat threads should at least know how to search DigiTrad and old Mudcat threads to make sure each song isn't already here somewhere, and then insert HTML line breaks.

Jim, if you haven't noticed already, I refreshed your thread.
