We have up to an hour (we're the closing act, after the announcement as to whether or not we've reached the world record has been made, and right about when everybody's ready to go home) and although we have a few songs planned, we have none about pumpkins per se. It seems to me I've heard a song about Pumpkin Pie (which I can't find or remember), but other than the pumpkin carols above, there's little about the old orange gourd in song. Ideas, anyone? |

It has a couple of regional English phrases which no doubt you would be able to re-write if you would like the song. Actually, it has an American connection too as Fred based his song on "When the frost is on the punkin" by the Hoosier poet James Whitcomb Riley. It soon got so he could only ride, when whiches took him piggy back, but then one day he used his brain and bought himself an aero-plane! So if you look for him on halloween, you'll see him zip and zoom. no harm can befall him, no longer can they call him, the woblin goblin with the broken broom. |
