From: GUEST,jzatkin@public2.bta.net.cn I used to visit Mudcat fairly often to find lyrics and am impressed with the new layout and operability. However I've encountered a couple of problems with the database. The most recent, for example, was a search for San Francisco Bay Blues, a tune I was sure you'd have in the database. However the search for San Francisco Bay Blues, and SF Bay Blues both turned up no results. So I went back again to the lyrics page and discovered the old list of letters I was used to using, clicked on S and, sure enough, there among the titles was San Francisco Bay Blues. But when I clicked on the title, I again got the respons that no items were found!! So what's the problem?? Thanks for your help! From: wysiwyg Yes, right now the Digitrad and Forum search (left-most search box, labeled that, above the thread list) works better. If the title does not come up on a search with that, try a phrase unique to the song in question. The adbvantgae of that search is that you will also find threads where songs are discussed or posted, that may not be included in the DT-- variants, history, discographies all sorts of good stuff. Welcome to these parts! ~Susan |
