12 Feb 98 - 06:59 PM (#21309) Subject: RE: Uploading a song HELP! From: Jon W. BAZ, it looks like you typed in the three charactes ampersand-l-t when you should have typed the single character "less-than sign" (shifted comma key). The first is an HTML code that is supposed to display the second, but at least in my browser it only displays the second correctly if it has a non-alphanumeric character following. The single "less-than sign" is an HTML code that, when paired with a "greater-than sign", with some stuff in between, tells the browser something special to do. In this case the stuff between is "BR" which tells the browser to put in a line break. Hope this is clear. Jon W. |

13 Feb 98 - 06:12 PM (#21392) Subject: RE: Uploading a song HELP! From: Joe Offer BAZ, I'm wondering if your word processor automatically puts in the HTML. If that case, if you typed in the line break codes, the word processor might change them so they're visible examples that don't work, instead of invisible codes that DO work. Can I say more and make it more confusing? -Joe Offer- |
