19 Oct 01 - 06:42 PM (#575920) Subject: RE: Mudcat Snug on Paltalk 18th Oct From: Uncle_DaveO Norton, you may already have seen it, but I've fulfilled my promise to post the words to The Great American Bum for you. Now, as to the tune, if you see me at one of the Paltalk rooms make a request and I'll sing it. If you have a tape recorder handy that would help. Dave Oesterreich |
19 Oct 01 - 07:21 PM (#575954) Subject: RE: Mudcat Snug on Paltalk 18th Oct From: Jon Freeman Wow, thanks for the compliments. For some reason last night I felt a lot easier than usual - no nerves (or fewer) getting in the way. Having said that, and I think I mentioned in the room, playing in regularly in a strong session since my move to Norfolk has helped me no end (for the previous few years, most stuff I had transport to get to was very scrappy) and I am slowly but surely getting back to (at least in sessions - other instrumental playing will always be a struggle to me - I know it is an easy excuse but I tend to play better when I know there is someone to cover my bum notes...) playing at what I would consider to be a reasonable std within my own expectations of myself. Jon |

Next session I'll get you to sing it - about have it down now but another time would do it I think - plus a tape for backup. Thanks again - Steve |
