The same poem exists at several other web sites. Here is an advertisement for Best Of The American Country Hymn Book. Its contents include a song called "Plenty of Time" written by Clay McLean and Henry Slaughter, copyright 1970. I was unable to find any other information about this song. |

I got up on Sunday morning, went to church at ten
I walked on down life's pathway, living as I wished to live
CHO: Plenty of time to decide where I'm bound
Before I knew what happened, Life's scene had passed away
Eternity waits; I've got plenty of time, to think of all the days Using the chord of (D) the chord progression is as follows
D--B-EM-AM-A7-D-D7
