We're going to have a party for him, of course, but I'd like a song I can sing that is more of a lament than Dear Boss, which is a great song that I'd also like to sing. I've looked through the Trad but didn't see anything (didn't spend too much time) - anybody got any suggestions? Sympathy also accepted. |

Unfortunately the only good boss song I can think of is "Doffing Mistress" which probably isn't appropriate. Good luck on staying gainfully employed! And I hope the next person you report to is also a good manager. Bat Goddess |

And I'll look for Doffing Mistress, sound great. More? |

My former manager, after she was laid off, went ahead and took the vacations she'd planned, and she is now an elementary-school teacher's aide. Though she took a cut in pay, she couldn't be happier with the way things have turned out for her, as far as her life situation is concerned (more time to spend with her granddaughters, and she also does bookkeeping for the family business). Besides, she was let go before the company cut its termination benefits by better than half! Sure do miss her around the office, though. |
