Al and Amy's yard sale

I just got this in an e-mail from Al Petteway and Amy White. I figured I'd post it here since it's such an interesting assortment of musical and music related stuff.

And check out the kilt and the accessories that go with it (although I don't know if I would wear previously owned stockings myself).

Al and Amy's internet yard sale

There's a picture of the mandolin if you scroll down, or you can click on it up at the top, and that'll get you down to it. It costs $300 US.

Ok. I see what you're saying. You didn't wait for it to finish loading. I didn't have to wait for it to load, but I'm on a relatively fast machine right now. Oh, well.

Oh God, I feel a massive G.A.S. attack coming on.

Whew, just remembered, I don't have any money. I'm safe.

They say items can be inspected and picked up in person, but they don't say where they are (USA? State? Town?). Likewise there's no email address, phone number or other contact info. I don't know if they're Mudcatters so I don't know if I can send them a PM. CarolC, how does one get in touch with these people?

Try www.fairewood.com - It's the website of Al Pettaway and Amy White. Two excellent Celtic type musicians. They live in the Washington DC area.

Right in one, Wesley. They live in Takoma Park Maryland (USA). They're not only great musicians, they're lovely people as well.

I have several of their CD's and I've enjoyed them all. I remembered that they had recieved some Washington area music awards and that's why I guessed DC. Didn't Al once work as a photographer for National Goegraphic?? Or am I mixed up about that?

Don't know about the National Geographic thing. Although you could be right. The first time I saw them was after they were married, and both had been playing music professionally for a while. Amy's a pretty amazing photogapher (and a talented artist, as well), but I don't know about any of Al's non-music talents.
