04 Nov 01 - 04:57 AM (#585621) Subject: RE: Lyrics for 'Paddys not at work today' From: Skipper Jack There is a recording entitled, "Murphy and the Bricks" performed by Noel Murphy. The lyrics by P.Cooksey/Noel Murphy. The only fault that I found with that recording was the dubbed laughter - painfully obvious! But the original story line was from the brilliant Gerard Hoffnung from the 1958 recording "Hoffnung at the Oxford Union". It was presented as a narrative and extremely funny.
