Help: Real Audio and CDs

Subject: Real Audio and CDs

If I download Real Audio files, can I burn them on a CD that will play in an ordinary CD?

If not, can I modify the files so I can burn a CD?

Thanks for any info -

Sourdough, Real Audio files burned to a CD as such would not play in a regular CD player. You need to make them into .wav files with 16 bit, 44.1 Hz, stereo mode. I use a program called Total Recorder, available here:

Total Recorder

It has a "software" recording mode that allows it to record the output of the soundcard in .wav format. The resulting file could then be burned to a CD which would play in a CD player.

Thanks for both the answer and the link.

I downloaded the file and looked at how to pay for the fully enabled version but couldn't figure out how to do that (now that is a problem with web design ;-) . THen, I went to run a file through it as a test and couldn't figure out how to make it run but it was 3:00AM and I was very tired so that may disappear when I fire up the program again.

In any event, thank you for the information.

Sourdough, when you run the program, click on Help and there is a 'Registration' choice. If I remember correctly, if you do this while online, it'll connect you to their payment service.

I've used TR quite extensively, so if you have any problems after you've tried it in wide-awake mode, PM me and I can probably help you through them.
