Lyr Req: Working for the Japanese (Ron Delacy)

Subject: Lyric to song
From: Beer

Here is one I've been looking for.

CHORUS: We're just working for the Japanese,
Little cars and color TV,
Sending all my money overseas,
?????????????????????????????
One day were gonna lose our roots,
Wear ??????????????????? and boots.
Drink nothing but ????????????????
??????????????????????????? rice beer.

I'm gonna gather up all my dollars,
Trade 'em in for yen.
Get up and go to Tokyo,
Start over again.
Gonna change my name to ????????,
Marry me a geisha wife,
And eat nutritious dishes,
Like little raw fishes,
And be happy for the rest of my life.

There is more, like the first verse. Hope you can help.

The song is "Working for the Japanese" by Ray Stevens. I was unable to find lyrics online. Good luck!

Couldn't find the lyrics either, but I did find the album it appears on: it's called "#1 with a Bullet", dated 1991. It is NOT sold on the Ray Stevens website, but it is pictured in the discography there so at least you'll know what it looks like when you search for it. Here's the site: www.raystevens.com

Here's my transcription from the recording found at YouTube:

WORKING FOR THE JAPANESE
Written by Ron DeLacy
Sung by Ray Stevens on "#1 with a Bullet" (1991)

1. I ain't never read the Wall Street Journal. I ain't no Ph.D.
The trickle-down theory an' Laffer Curve are just Greek to me.
I'm ignorant about inflation and the Federal Reserve Bureau.
Ain't never had a lesson in the Great Depression, but this much I know:

CHORUS: We're all workin' fer the Japanese,
Little cars an' color TVs,
Sendin' all our money overseas, to the eastern sphere.
One day we're gonna lose our roots, *
Wear oriental jeans an' boots,
An' drink nothin' but Kawasaki sake, Honda wine, and Mitsubishi light beer.

2. Chrysler fights for survival. So does Gen'ral Motors.
Ford perseveres with better idears, an' ever'body drives Toyoters.
Sony owns the Rockefeller Center an' the Hy-waiian Archipelago.
We buy Seikos, Walkmans, TVs, an' minivans an' wonder where our money all goes.

CHORUS: We're just workin'....

3. Gonna gather up all my dollars, trade 'em in for yen,
Get up an' go to Tokyo, start over again.
Gonna change my name to Yamada, marry me a geisha wife,
An' eat nutritious dishes like little raw fishes an' be happy for the rest o' my life.

CHORUS: While you're a-workin'....

You're gonna love that Kawasaki sake, Honda wine and Mitsubishi light beer.

* On the last chorus, he sings "ruse our loots."
