In my belly's a cravin'; I got a shootin' in my head. CHORUS: And it's real, and it's real, one more time.
Well, when I was a young girl, I learned not to care.
Stay away from the cities; stay away from the towns.
You'll forget you're a woman; you'll forget about men.
But if I die tomorrow, still one thing I've done:
In my belly's a cravin'; I got a shakin' in my head. |

There have been many incidents of codeine abuse, but I don't know how serious the problem was. I think that America tends to get a bit hysterical about drug abuse. The usual response is to ban anything that might be addictive, to protect people from themselves. -Joe Offer in California- |

I believe the "Syrup" part of this combination is a codeine-based cough syrup, but I don't remember what the second drug often used recreationally with this is.
