21 Nov 01 - 12:29 AM (#596982) Subject: DIA Singers & Eric Levine From: 2 in harmony Went to hear this group for the first time 11/17 although they've been singing for joy & change in civil rights for many years. Meaningful treat. And thanks to their musical dirctor, Eric Levine (folkdoctor: guitar/banjo WOW) Eric also led a sing for the 2nd part of this performance. Gina on the flute is always a wonder. As she puts it "I've been playing with Eric in bars and churches for years." The DIA Singers perform annually. I haven't heard their CD yet but look forward to it. Wonderful collection of songs, some singer-song writers in group itself. Check out next concert next year or CD. |
