28 Nov 01 - 03:41 AM (#599186) Subject: RE: Help: Timeout error From: SeanM There's also dharma.mudcat.org... Correct me if I'm wrong, but on dharma, loki and ragtime you aren't required to use the "www." in the URL. I used to know the reason (something to do with a base protocol and attached servers or somesuch if I remember correctly), but don't really care anymore. Just works for me. M |

28 Nov 01 - 04:03 AM (#599188) Subject: RE: Help: Timeout error From: MudGuard You MUST NOT use www. with loki, ragtime, dharma and help. The internet domain of the Mudcat cafe is mudcat.org www, ragtime, loki, dharma, shorty and help (and maybe some more, only God and Max know) all are subdomains (btw, shorty and www end up on the same computer). But there are no sub-subdomains www on these machines, so www.loki.mudcat.org does not exist, neither do www.www.mudcat.org, www.ragtime.mudcat.org, www.dharma.mudcat.org ... www is just the most commonly used subdomain for http-Server. |
