03 Dec 01 - 04:27 PM (#602921) Subject: RE: strumming thru the cat From: Jon Freeman It's not unknown for me to play musical instruments while using the computer but I am more likely to do that when I know I have a long wait for something to happen (e.g. a long download in progress) and the chances of the instrument being a guitar are slim. What can we learn from this? That spaw has more interest in centering threads around himself and his farts than in the thread itself? Jon |

03 Dec 01 - 06:30 PM (#602995) Subject: RE: strumming thru the cat From: catspaw49 Could be that too Jon........But right now we seem really down on music threads and long on BS don't we? I don't start the things, as a matter of fact, I start damn few threads period.........But guess who hears the complaints when the ratio falls to BS? Spaw |

03 Dec 01 - 07:22 PM (#603014) Subject: RE: strumming thru the cat From: McGrath of Harlow Well spaw's found one instrument he can play while using a computer keyboard. Don't knock it - Joseph Pujol, the Petomane, made a career out of it, and achieved international fame.
But what I want is a footcontrolled scrolling machine - that way I could play the guitar while reading through long threads.
They must exist - has anyone come across them? |

04 Dec 01 - 11:45 AM (#603415) Subject: RE: strumming thru the cat From: Grab I'd guess he'll fart in anything - keys, purse, handbag, you name it, he'll fart in it. ;-) Odd question though. If you're typing, by definition you're not posting. Paltalk's a different matter, but Mudcatting, you simply can't type and talk. Unless you type (or play) using your toes, I guess. Graham. |

04 Dec 01 - 03:26 PM (#603560) Subject: RE: BS: strumming thru the cat From: McGrath of Harlow Mudcatting is reading as well as posting. In fact it's mostly reading. People who post to threads clearly without having read it are a pain.
That's why I want a foot-controlled scroller. Truly. It ought to be possible to jury-rig one. |

04 Dec 01 - 08:58 PM (#603849) Subject: RE: BS: strumming thru the cat From: 53 mudcatting is enjoyment, and i don't try to make it a hassle, but i just love to play my guitar while i'm reading the posts, and then i'll put it down if i have something to say, which is usually nothing much that's interesting but i get a lot of practice typing on the keyboard, and trying to make friends with some great musicicns.
